SCOTTVILLE — Todd Reed shared photography tips and stories from 50 years of capturing images of Western Michigan Thursday at the Scottville Area Senior Center, where he and his son Brad were special guests for the Lunch & Learn speaker series. Senior Center Director Bill Kerans said the series is usually pretty well-attended, and he knew that having two of the area’s foremost photographers would be a draw. Rich Hollant’s ‘All That Remains’ photography exhibit in Hartford focuses on impermanence of memory
A photography exhibit opening Dec. 9 at Charter Oak Cultural Center in Hartford, “All That Remains,” reflects on the impermanent nature of memory. Photographer Richard Hollant said the theme fits his own transitory recollections of the photos he took, as well as the medium he used to capture the images. “They stopped making Polaroid film years ago. You can buy it from people who bought it back then, but it’s past its expiration date. Visit Bend teams with local artists for new photography book: ‘Ineffable (Vol. III)’
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Looking for a way to tuck Bend under the Christmas tree? A new photography collaboration makes it possible, just in time for the holidays. Released on Wednesday, Ineffable (Vol III) is a photo book created by Bend photographer and designer Richard Bacon, along with 33 local photographers and Visit Bend. One of the best parts of photography, especially wildlife photography, is the magic moments. You know what I mean: Everything just falls in place in the most unexpected and beautiful way that you know, you just know, you just got something special.
