A little over two weeks ago, our newsroom hosted the first installment of a new quarterly live-event series, Culture Makers, where we celebrate local creatives through dialog, multimedia, and live performance. The inaugural event took place at the New Parkway Theater and featured three homegrown talents: documentary filmmaker Niema Jordan, journalist and fashion entrepreneur Akintunde Ahmad, and musician and community advocate Kev Choice. The Cy Twombly Foundation Is Honoring the Artist’s Special Relationship With the Whitney by Gifting $2.5 Million to the Museum
The Whitney Museum’s conservation section just bought a big enhance from the Cy Twombly Foundation, which has gifted the museum $2.5 million to endow a conservator posture.
