PenBayPilot writers and photographers Sarah Thompson, Chris Wolf, Diane O’Brien and Lynda Clancy earned first, next and third area awards at the annual Maine Press Association Improved Newspaper Contest at the MPA’s drop meeting held Saturday, Oct. 22 at Atlantic Oceanside Lodge & Function Middle in Bar Harbor. The Pilot’s companion newspapers of Maine-Ok Enterprises — Boothbay Register, Wiscasset Newspaper — also obtained awards for creating and images, as well as initial and next place in their respective divisions for digital excellence.
