A few New Zealand photographers have been lauded for their visuals of the Milky Way.
The once-a-year levels of competition from journey images blog site Seize The Atlas showcases photos of the galaxy taken from close to the earth.
Of the 25 highlighted this calendar year out of hundreds of entries, 3 occur from New Zealand photographers, the most from any a single state: Nick Faulkner, Rachel Roberts, and Evan Mckay.
Christchurch-primarily based Faulkner operates Hueman Images, which specialises in landscapes and astrophotography.

His graphic, Solitude, is of Castle Hill in Selwyn.

For Roberts, her impression of Motukiekie on the West Coast showcases the region’s “darkest and most underrated skies” in New Zealand.
She was exceptionally satisfied with her image, The Rocks, as she experienced a toddler 6 months ahead of the shoot and “the snooze deprivation I was experience was next amount!”
