The Paykan was the first car or truck created in Iran. Made from 1967 to 2015, it began existence as a licensed copy of an outmoded British motor vehicle, the Hillman Hunter, but it nevertheless became a image of countrywide pleasure, priced for center-class Iranians. Paykans sooner or later grew to become ubiquitous on the streets of Tehran, serving as sedans, wagons, pickups and taxis.
