With warmer weather on the horizon, it’s almost time to switch up your skin-care routine. (Think less moisturizer, more sunscreen.) And if your medicine cabinet could use a bit of a restock, you’re in luck: Dermstore’s Beauty Refresh Sale begins today, and lots of rarely on sale hair, makeup, and skin care products are up to 20 percent off with the code REFRESH. That includes dermatologist-recommended sunscreens for all skin types, our beauty writer’s blackhead-busting serum, and the higher-coverage cousin of Glossier’s Stretch Concealer. (Most of which, we should add, are the cheapest we’ve seen them since Cyber Monday.) You have until March 10 to close out your shopping cart, but act fast: Some have already started to sell out.
The cult-favorite, Reddit-beloved Sunday Riley exfoliant is available with a rare discount. There are also other excellent Sunday Riley products on sale, like its UFO oil, CEO Glow Serum, and enzyme cream.
Because it goes on clear and won’t clog pores, several dermatologists we’ve spoken with recommend EltaMD’s UV Clear Sunscreen for just about every skin tone and type.
My acne is most often caused by irritation from overexfoliation or too-harsh products. To prevent it, I use this EltaMD moisturizer formulated with ceramides, essential lipids, and enzymes that work to repair a compromised skin barrier. (If I had known about it five years ago, I think I could have forgone my three rounds of Accutane.)
Strategist beauty columnist Rio Viera-Newton says this Aquis hair wrap “not only dries hair in less than half the time it takes with a standard cotton towel” but also “leaves your hair looking silky and feeling soft.”
These no-frills pimple patches from CosRX are a mainstay in Rio’s skin-care routine for quickly healing breakouts.

Another dermatologist favorite, this clear sunscreen from Supergoop! absorbs quickly and leaves no white cast.

According to Rio, HoliFrog cleansers are a great way to clean your skin without stripping or irritating it. Formulated with strengthening ingredients like algae, amino acids, and vitamin E, this one is an excellent neutral wash that’s especially great for dry- or sensitive-skin types. (It’s also a favorite of our friends at the Cut.)
Not only is this Christophe Robin hair mask “simply the best moisturizing hair mask I’ve tried in my life,” says Rio, it’s also “the best at-home toner I’ve tried.” She uses the Baby Blonde shade to maintain her platinum-blonde color, saying it “kicks out any yellow or brassy tones” and would “return my color to a bright and true blonde with a single use.”
Because even the $42 sale price for the Christophe Robin product above is, admittedly, still a bit steep for a hair mask, Rio says this deep conditioner from Black-owned brand Briogeo makes for a convincing dupe. It left her hair “smoother and less tangled” after just four days of use.
This deeply hydrating, antioxidant-rich eye cream from Neocutis is one of New York–based dermatologist Dr. Shereene Idriss’s top caffeine-based eye-cream picks. This particular cream uses a blend of hyaluronic acid and vitamin E to help soothe, moisturize, and protect the skin while delivering the brightening benefits of caffeine.
RMS’s Lip2Cheek became one of Rio’s “absolute favorites” after she learned it was used on Hailey Bieber in a Pop magazine editorial. It gives skin “the most beautiful, natural, sun-kissed flush,” she says. “I sweep it across my nose and the apples of my cheeks.”
If you’re looking for a little more coverage than Glossier’s Stretch Concealer, RMS’s “Un” Cover-Up is an excellent choice — especially for hiding dark under-eye circles. “It’s lightweight, really easy to use with your fingers, and never cakes or creases,” says Rio. (Lily Aldridge is also a fan.)
New York–based hairstylist Eric Torneros recommends that those with oily hair incorporate a rinse into their weekly regimen, like this apple-cider-vinegar rinse from dpHUE. It “helps to remove excess oil and product without overstripping the hair of its natural oil, leaving hair clean and shiny but not overly dry,” he says.
We previously named this Colorescience product the best powder sunscreen after eight separate dermatologists raved about it (it’s also a must-have for Dr. Pimple Popper). With four matte shades available, it doubles as a blotting powder and is exceptionally easy to reapply on the go.
Waxing specialists love this pubic-hair oil, which is good at preventing razor bumps thanks to antiseptic and antimicrobial ingredients like grape-seed, jojoba, and tea-tree oils.
Here’s a cult-favorite Japanese foot peel that removes dead skin from your feet. Writer Molly Young deemed it “more than a podiatric miracle. It’s a product that will make you believe in beauty products again.”
Covered in hundreds of tiny needles, this face roller is what rid Rio of the hyperpigmentation she had had for years — and she promises it actually doesn’t hurt at all.
