Opera SB Receives National Endowment for the Arts Grant
By Opera Santa Barbara Opera Santa Barbara is pleased to announce it has been accredited by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to obtain a Grants for Arts Projects award of $10,000. This grant will help our upcoming opera, Jack Perla and Jessica Murphy Moo’s, An American Desire, at the Lobero Theatre on Sunday, February 18. Thanks to a nudge from then-Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper back in 2009 and the unwavering patronage of thousands since, the company has paid off its mortgage on the building formerly known as the Denver Civic Theatre.
