Kathy Ryan and the editing team of The New York Moments Magazine have been named as a finalist for the leading enhancing honor of the competition, the Angus McDougall Excellence in Enhancing Award.
“This award is specially remarkable and meaningful for us because it acknowledges the wonderful teamwork on the Magazine,” claimed Kathy Ryan, director of pictures for the Magazine. “It also recognizes the incredibly vast assortment of issue make any difference we deal with visually, including breaking news, documentary photograph essays, extremely creative portraiture and day by day lifetime functions.”
And The Instances gained several other awards in the Picture Modifying types.

The Movie crew gained four other awards in the Documentary News Reporting class, which were:
- Finalist for “In the Center of Chaos: Dwelling with Daunte Wright Protests at the Entrance Door” by Ed Ou, Katie G. Nelson, Meg Felling, Shane O’Neill and Kassie Bracken
- Award of Excellence for “Looking for the Lost Graves of Louisiana’s Enslaved Individuals” by Alexandra Eaton, Christoph Koettl, Quincy G. Ledbetter, Victoria Simpson and Aaron Byrd
- Award of Excellence for “From Rodney King to George Floyd: Reliving the Scars of Police Violence” by Nilo Tabrizy, Ainara Tiefenthäler, Débora Souza Silva, Elie M. Khadra and Shane O’Neill
- Award of Excellence for “‘We Are Right here Alone’: An Afghan Translator’s Plea for Help” by Isabelle Niu, Danielle Miller, Khyber Khan and Nicole Fineman
