    Inmates face off in state culinary arts competition

    The smell of numerous food items loaded the air, pans of grilled chicken sizzled on the stove and inmates carrying aprons, hats and chef’s coats rushed all around the industrial kitchen area as they worked with their crew to gain the gold trophy. Wendasia Gipson saved her awesome as she moved by the kitchen area with ease calling out “behind” to her teammates warning them not to bump into her as she served prepare a dish identified as “Not the Taco.” “Everything we have been fearful about that we weren’t gonna do arrived normally to us when we got in the kitchen,” stated Gipson, an inmate at Lowell. 4 groups…

    William Blount High School culinary arts students prepare Valentine’s Day treats | News

    Ahead of their initial class was in excess of Monday, Jan. 14, culinary arts pupils at William Blount Large University experienced loaded trays with chocolate-lined strawberries, pretzels, cake balls and cookie balls decorated with Valentine’s Day sprinkles. They required to start off early to fill 18 orders from around the college. Teacher Jeffrey Harig ensured they realized the entire process, and not just that early morning from simmering h2o for melting chocolate to lining supply bins with parchment.     The Douglas Terhune Heart for Culinary Arts had its grand opening final Thursday in Setting up A on the Brunswick Local community College campus.
