June 09, 2022 SIU to commemorate Juneteenth by way of arts, associates with neighborhood by Christi Mathis CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois College Carbondale will commemorate Juneteenth by internet hosting a distinctive exhibition, presentation and reception that includes Nigerian-born artist Adedayo Laoye and his functions, together with a gospel sing. SIU is also collaborating with a number of local community partners to current a vast range of gatherings. All of the functions are free of charge and open up to the general public.
