PLATTSBURGH — Location artists are sculpting a coalition to advocate for and with their fellow creatives. Freshly-shaped Plattsburgh Arts Coalition is chaired by Megan Charland and Katherine Teaney, two neighborhood businesswomen who set up storefronts in downtown Plattsburgh Town last yr. Since, the pair stated they found a developing will need of assistance for local community artists and hope the coalition will encourage “community above level of competition,” and probably even reinstate a Plattsburgh-headquartered arts council. “We have a thriving arts scene, but it is practically like an underground movement at this point,” Charland mentioned. “There are other artists and other organizations in Plattsburgh that want the similar factors, so bringing us collectively…
